In this class, we keep the same playlist for a full month so that our dancers can get the maximum benefit from each one. This playlist is the same as the class titled "Have Fun! Clench Ya Butt!," but with new insights and form corrections from Ashley along with a fun, different crew! Formerly "Lifting for Dancers," this is a quick full-body workout all about loading your muscles and adding some strength to support your regular dance routine. In it, we use kettlebells, dumbbells & bodyweight to build strength. It is designed by dancers for dancers (and is PT supported), so it's choreographed to music, super fun and a GREAT workout! Start with very little to no weight if you're just starting out. It's much better to slowly progress than start off with too much weight and injure yourself! Always feel free to modify: slow things down, reduce weight, or make the moves a little less deep if necessary. This class is designed to help you increase your power & functional fitness in dance and out in the normal world! Please always wear sneakers when taking this class!
